John 3:16
It was empowering to partake in an excursion around the
world experiencing different cultures come alive through scripture. To have a
fellowship of women in corporate worship and rooted in the word, I was
awestruck. God definitely showed up and showed out. I was extremely blessed.
Our leader, First Lady Maggievei kicked it off with a reminder through our key
verse that Jesus came for all walks of life. This verse is a promise to those
who believe.
It was neat hearing Victorville AOG represent Samoa using
Disney’s Moana theme song to quote John 3:16. It was interesting learning about
the meaning of the Tokelau flag by Garden Grove AOG. Seeing Hawaii beautifully
represented by Moreno Valley AOG was awesome, from the dresses to their lei’s
to their flowers exquisitely arranged in their hairdo. It was wonderful having
our sisters from Utah AOG representing the strong willed Maori’s. To the
laughter we caught from 29Palms AOG who represented Jamaica with amusement . To
watch the graceful movements of our sisters from Paramount AOG who represented
Guam with great finesse. To hearing our freedom songs sung by our sisters from
Irvine AOG who represented the land of the great USA. To witness the great
harmonious singing by our sisters from San Diego AOG who represented Mexico. To
seeing the wonderful costumes from our sisters from Ontario AOG who represented
India with their Bollywood routine. To witnessing the unison and grace for
which Oceanside/Vista AOG represented Tuvalu. And lastly, the bright red wear
in which our sisters from San Bernardino AOG represented Tonga. It was a day to
remember.
I think the SoCal Pulega leaders did an awesome job in
planning our beautiful Women’s Rally. To all the flag bearers who carried each
flag with dignity and great spirits. To all the talents that were used mightily
to bring God praise. To the variety of foods from different cultures. To the
different languages spoken. To Him alone be the essence of our day, from the
beginning to the end. It’s all about You, Lord!
